My Voice, My Story: Using Visual Arts to Make Your Mark

Our most popular course is for students who want to make their mark on the world. Over six sessions, we’ll use a variety of artistic techniques to help students develop their unique visual style and give them a platform to express their authentic selves.
My Voice My Story: Drawing Your World

In this course, students will learn to express themselves through drawing. Over six sessions, students will study line, shape, tone, overlapping, and more to help them depict their unique point of view.
My Voice, My Story: Clay Creations

This course is for students who want to roll up their sleeves and mold their world. Over the course of six sessions, master art teacher and sculptor Mark LaRiviere will show students how to use a variety of clay building methods to make their own compelling works of art.
For Elementary School Students:
Designing Your Dream Home: Where Would You Like to Live?

This three-week class is inspired by "The Big Orange Splot" by Daniel Pinkwater, a charming book about a man who transforms his home to fit his dreams. We will read the book and encourage children to use art materials to design a house where, as the character says in the book, “My house is me and I am it, my house is where I like to be and it looks like all my dreams.”
Self Portraits: The Original Selfie

In this three-session class children will explore their identity and use self-portraits to depict how they see themselves. Students will explore the things that make them unique and practice using form, color, texture, and more to add detail to depict it. Students will walk away with a self-portrait that reflects their unique personality.
